Concept Design

The design concept of this studio was Digital Technology Convergence. The goal was to express the technological advancement image of the college for film and TV production. The technology implemented in the room simultaneously supports film and TV production and arts performance on stage. The infrastructure was designed to be compatible with the media network studio meeting the film and TC broadcasting standards. The areas are as follows:

Large Film/TV Studio

AVL designed a large studio for film and TV production classes such as news reporting, series, variety shows, drama, and advertising filming to teach all the skills in the production process ranging from camera angle to lighting preparation.
AVL paid great attention to the standards of room’s acoustics design, including modern equipment to enhance the educational experience for learning and practical training under the concept of ‘Digital Technology Convergence’.

Small Studio

Screening Room

The small studio was designed for the video studio production. The design concept was a mixture between the black box theater and TV production studio in order to support both purposes, namely the control systems and infrastructures such as sound system, stage lighting system, effect system, communication system, stage floor, curtain, etc. They were designed to teach the skill sets that are required for the professional operation of the artistic stage performance.

Mastering Room

The mastering room was designed for training and educational purposes to learn using advanced equipment. It supports the mastering process of music, advertisements, films and television programs.

On top of the training purpose, the room was also designed to be a data storage center. It stores recordings (visual and sound) from other rooms and is able to edit or remaster the records at any time with the media network technology that supports 4K high definition. The data can also be sent to other points such as large & small Film/TV Studio, Audio Recording Suites, Screening Room, etc.

Audio Recording Suites

AVL designed Audio Recording Suites to be the learning and training center for audio recording, mixing, and producing sound for musical performance. The room qualifications are the mixture of the Live room and Dry/Dead room to support multiple purposes.

As the Audio Recording Suites is the area for audio purposes, the design needed to be crafted carefully. The interior design follows the room’s acoustics design principles to ensure the best environment for audio recording with special calculation, material selection, size and shape of the room, noise insulation for each, etc.
