Prem Auditorium building, the Music and Performance art operation center, is another landmark of Thaksin University, Songkhla campus. The architect has intended to design a dignified building to be the center of cultural arts and southern music performance by employing contemporary architecture as the main factor.
The interior design of the operation center was based on Contemporary style. It is the mixture of modernization and southern local art such as ‘Kolae’ boat paintings, perforated design of shadow puppets, traditional Red-whiskered Bulbul cage pattern, and having university color as the main element to express the unique identity of the university.

Along with the aesthetic values, AVL also put an emphasis on the sound and acoustic qualities. The room’s acoustics design is highly crucial for the Performing Art Auditoriums to achieve a proper Reverberation Time and Absorption Coefficient according to the acoustic criteria for musical performance.
The lighting and video system were designed to support various types of performance such as musical performance, theatrical play, or even regional conference. This is to leverage the Music and Performing Art operation center to be both functional and artistic landmarks.
